Primary voting is now open across Wyoming!
Starting today, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, absentee voting for the Primary Election begins. It runs through Monday, Aug 17, 2026. If you are a registered voter, you may request an absentee ballot at any time during the calendar year in which the election is held but not on the day of the election. Absentee voting begins, and ballots are distributed, 28 days before the election. Ballots may still be received by the County Clerk up until 7 p.m. on election day. You can go to your County Clerk’s office today and vote by requesting a ballot in person.
To request an absentee ballot:
- By Phone – Call your county clerk
- By Mail – Print and fill out the application form and mail to your county clerk
- By Email – Put “Absentee Ballot Request” in the subject line
- In Person – Request an absentee ballot in person at your county clerk’s office

Not Registered Yet? How to Register To Vote in Wyoming
You may register and vote at your polling place on Election Day. You may also register to vote in person at the County Clerk’s office or by mail not less than (14) days before an election. VOTER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Be a U.S. Citizen, as evidenced by providing proof of U.S. citizenship*
- Be 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election
- Be a resident of Wyoming, as evidenced by providing proof of Wyoming residency*
- Be a bona fide resident of Wyoming for not less than thirty (30) days before the next election
- Not currently adjudicated mentally incompetent
- Not been convicted of a felony, or have had voting rights restored
- Provide your Wyoming Driver’s License or Driver’s License number and acceptable identification. If you do not have a Wyoming Driver’s License number, provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number and another form of acceptable identification
