Do you agree adequate funding of public schools beyond the “silo method” should be a priority for legislators?
Yes. I support local control, and school administrators need flexibility in their ability to budget and adapt as the situation and needs change.
Will you support legislation to restore funding for the summer school lunch program?
Yes. The last figure I saw was that nearly 37,000 Wyoming children would otherwise go hungry over the summer if we didn’t provide some sort of safety net for this vulnerable population.
Do you support or oppose the “Wyoming Homeowner’s Primary Residence Property Tax Exemption Initiative (2026)?”
I oppose. From everything I’ve been able to ascertain, passage of this initiative would decimate many of our counties, and greatly limit essential services such as emergency medical, fire, law enforcement, etc.
Do you agree cities and towns need more funding than is currently provided by the legislature?
This question is too broad. I would need more specific details in order to provide a thoughtful answer. Some cities and towns may need more funding, but probably not all. And the source of any additional funding to cities and towns should not just automatically be the Wyoming legislature.
Do you agree Police, Fire and EMS services need more funding than is currently provided by the legislature?
Again, this question is too broad. I would need more specific details in order to provide a thoughtful answer. I suspect the majority of police, fire, and emergency medical services across the state need more funding than they currently receive, but I’m not sure if all of them are in need. These essential services are at the core of what government is supposed to do.

Do you agree the legislature should allocate more funding to supporting rural health care, such as higher Medicaid subsidies for hospitals?
Yes. My research has revealed to me that rural healthcare in Wyoming is approaching a financial disaster, with at least 6 of our rural hospitals poised to fold in the near future. We can’t let that happen. Of course, the devil is in the details regarding how we improve the financial picture for our rural hospitals.
Do you agree Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) needs more funding than is currently provided by the legislature?
Yes. The growing funding shortfall reported by WYDOT is alarming, and our transportation infrastructure is deteriorating at an increasing rate. This negatively affects Wyoming citizens in many ways, from highway safety to putting limits on the state economy.
Do you support or oppose efforts to cut funding for the University of Wyoming?
Oppose
Will you support the ongoing efforts to diversify the Wyoming economy by adequately funding the Wyoming Business Council?

Will you oppose efforts to change Wyoming’s system of merit-based appointment of judges?
