Our Mission
Our mission is to help Wyoming folks find the facts, to see through the fog of misinformation so that they have the information necessary to vote for the best candidates — candidates who believe in adequate funding for schools, towns, EMS, law enforcement, UW, health care, and economic growth. Candidates who run on issues for Wyoming people, not outside interests. Candidates who care about their neighbors. Candidates who run on what’s best for Wyoming, not on name-calling the opposition.
Common Sense Republicans for Wyoming was created because voters deserve to know what is at stake. It is an issues-based PAC that is focused on the larger fight over Wyoming’s future.

We believe in fiscal responsibility. We also believe reckless cuts can do real harm. We believe in limited government. We also believe roads, schools, law enforcement, local communities, courts, and the University of Wyoming matter.
We believe in accountability. We do not believe constant outrage is the same thing as leadership.
Mostly, we believe Wyoming deserves better than extremism dressed up as conservatism.
The consequences of the Freedom Caucus’s policies will not show up in talking points. They will show up in classrooms, courtrooms, college campuses, sheriff’s offices, city halls, county budgets, highways, small businesses, and family kitchen tables.
About Scott
Scott is a Casper trial lawyer and a self-described Ronald Reagan Republican. After watching the 2026 legislative budget session unfold, he became increasingly concerned that the Wyoming Freedom Caucus was pushing our state in a direction that did not reflect the Wyoming he knows and loves. As Scott told the Casper Star-Tribune, “I hear members of the Freedom Caucus say we should just provide Wyoming with the bare minimum. This state was not built on the bare minimum, and that’s not what made it a great place to live.” That idea is the heart of this PAC.
Scott has spent his career at Williams, Porter, Day & Neville in Casper, representing civil defendants in complex litigation and trying cases in courtrooms across Wyoming. Through that work, he has seen how much this state depends on serious people doing difficult jobs: troopers, public servants, business owners, lawyers, judges, local officials, educators, and community leaders.
About Emily
Emily is a fourth-generation Wyomingite from Torrington and a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. She lives in Casper and practices law with The Spence Law Firm, where her practice takes her to courtrooms across the country. So when Emily saw proposals to cut support for the University of Wyoming and politicize Wyoming’s judiciary, she saw an attack to two of the institutions that make Wyoming such a great place to live and work. She wasn’t willing to sit on the sidelines while both came under attack.
